1. spaceshift is prepared to offer facilities for functions to be held within specified accommodation. The use of accommodation for functions will be accepted only if functions are considered reasonable and appropriate for the space as a venue.

2. Those placing bookings (the Hirer) must fully and fairly represent the purpose for which accommodation is required. Any misrepresentation may result in cancellation of the function at any time. Under no circumstances may the Hirer sublet or further offer for hire any of the accommodation booked.

3. The Hirer must declare in full the range of people to whom tickets will be given or sold and if tickets are to be sold, the specific means by which this is to be done. Under no circumstances may the function or ticket sales be advertised to the general public in national or local circulation papers or magazines, or in posters or handbills, without the prior approval in writing from the venue manager.

4. The time agreed with the venue manager in writing at which the event must finish must be strictly adhered to. All guests must have left the venue premises by that time. If running over time an additional rate will apply.

5. The contract between the venue and the Hirer is limited to the hire of the space. The venue will not accept responsibility for the performance of services outside of the hire of space.

6. Hirers must ensure that the number of guests does not exceed the venues stated capacity limits.

7. Copies of the invitation card must be sent to the venue manager prior to event.

8. The Hirer will be responsible for keeping proper order and shall also ensure that all persons attending the event shall behave in a seemly manner and comply with any instructions they may receive from venue manager. The Hirer must specifically agree with venue manager and adhere to instructions with respect to the precise type of entertainment to be provided, e.g. music and any similar entertainment. Any specified maximum volume or level of sound for music or other entertainment must be strictly adhered to.

9. The venue does not accept any responsibility for claims arising from the Hirer’s own personnel, guests and suppliers employed by the Hirer. The Hirer will be responsible for arranging any insurance to cover such risks. The venue will not accept responsibility for loss or damage to any articles brought in by organisers or guests.

10. If the venue or its contents are wilfully or negligently damaged or stolen during a function, a replacement cost is payable by the Hirer.

11. A 50% deposit is required in order to secure a booking. In case of cancellation, the following fees will apply: full refund will be given on cancellation made by the Hirer at least 2 calendar months prior to the hire starting date; if a cancellation is made by the Hirer less than 2 months but at least 4 weeks prior to the hire dates, 50% of the initial payment (25% of the full hire rate) will be refunded; no refund will be given on cancellations made less than 4 weeks before the hire starting date. Full payment is expected to be received from the Hirer no later than 1 day before the event starts.
